V.M.Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, arrived with an Official Visit to the Republic of Belarus
The visit of the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is held on the invitation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and aims at the extension of bilateral inter-parliamentary cooperation.
Having arrived in Minsk, the Head of the Ukrainian Parliament and the parliamentary delegation laid flowers to the Eternal Flame at Peremoha Square.
Within the scope of the official visit, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine met Boris Batura, Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Head of the Ukrainian Parliament stressed that "the cooperation at the level of parliaments should be of full-fledged nature".
In his turn, the Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus stated that the parliaments of both countries had established good relations.
In the course of the meeting, the Parties discussed the state of inter-parliamentary cooperation, the prospects of development of bilateral trade-economic relations and other issues of mutual concern.
